To celebrate the impact of drag culture on language through a series of hand-lettered cards that highlight words and phrases originated or popularized by drag queens.
About:
This project features 11 hand-lettered cards designed under the brand Kiki Paper Company, each showcasing a drag-inspired word or phrase with a brief explanation of its origin inside. The lettering was hand drawn, traced with Sharpie, scanned, and digitally refined in Illustrator. Hot pink cards use photographic elements like gems, sequins, and fringe, while purple cards rely on illustrated elements for contrast.
